Change in Designation of Class Day – September

On September 8, most schools and programs at Rutgers University-Newark will have a change in the designation of class day as follows.

  • No classes will meet on Monday, September 7 (Labor Day).
  • Monday classes will, instead, meet on Tuesday, September 8.
  • Regularly scheduled Tuesday classes will not meet on September 8.
  • The regular class schedule will resume on Wednesday, September 9.

 What Does This Mean?

  • If you are teaching or are enrolled in a class that regularly meets on Mondays, that class will meet on Tuesday, September 8, at its regularly scheduled time and location.
  • If you are teaching or are enrolled in a class that normally meets only on Tuesdays, that class will not meet on September 8.

Graduate, Professional, and Specialized Programs
